Ice Skating for Homeschoolers in Aliso Viejo

The Ice Palace in Aliso Viejo will begin offering a class for homeschoolers every Monday from 11:30am-12:30pm beginning February 2nd. The cost is $8 per child, and there is no need to sign up in advance. The cost includes skate rentals, a 20 minute lesson, and 40 minutes of skate time. This is a great way to get excercise and have fun doing it! Enjoy!

Shakespeare in the ParkTurtle Rock Community Park

Irvine’s Shakespeare in the Park series highlights two new Summer performances; Antony and Cleopatra on Sunday, July 13 and A Midsummer Night’s Dream on Sunday, July 20. Both events feature the theatrical talents of Shakespeare by the Sea, a Southern California-based organization that brings professional quality tales of Shakespeare to local communities. Pre-show activities begin at 6:30 p.m.; the feature presentation at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free. Residents are encouraged to bring low-back lawn chairs, layered clothing, blankets and a picnic dinner to enjoy the show. Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra is a sweeping and majestic saga of love and betrayal. Their struggle to balance passion and power is a turbulent tale of the clash between duty and desire.
